These posters are very effective because it follows the one simple formula that everyone in a performance-based position should know.

The four-step formula

- attention
- interest
- desire
- action

This movie seeks attention it grabs the attention of passers-by and encouraging them to look.This doesn’t have to be achieved with provocative pictures or flashy graphics, although given their advantage at grabbing attention. By using the film’s characters or a major plot point, designers can establish some level of plot while still gaining the attention of anyone that views the poster.This movie is very effective because its very iconic, and presents the themes in the film without resorting to flat out saying what it’s about.


They used imagery, whether a close-up of a character or item that’s a major plot point, or a simple graphic, to establish the film’s plot. Combined with an eye-grabbing design, this can be an incredibly effective way to gain attention and create interest at once.




How affective is trailers

This trailer makes you feels more geared to gearing you up affectively for getting out and seeing the film. It wants you to feel like you are a part of the danger of the moment — and to turn that heightened affective state into one of pure anticipation when the trailer ends with the escape starting. Creating a sense of immersion and presence in that space and at that time gives a vicarious adrenaline rush, which turns into one of curiosity and needing to know to satiate that rush.
